Breast Health Care Thunder Bay whose philosophy is Women Matter & Women together build strength. Add the component of knowledge, compassion and caring and a support network will almost certainly flourish and benefit many. It is a newly formed group intent on creating awareness, educating and empowering women. It is our hope that we are able to light the gloomy pathway that all too many women find themselves on when dealing with breast cancer. Our group is headed up by four women each with their own story concerning breast cancer whether it has been via their own personal journey of dealing with this horrendous disease or being touched by others in their personal lives who have been on or who are presently on the journey. With 1 in 8 women now being diagnosed with breast cancer we feel that now even more than ever that promoting a healthier lifestyle for women and providing necessary resources to help guide women through the process of attaining improved health and well-being is of great importance.
Creating awareness of the absolute need for early detection of breast cancer, prevention of the disease, how to best take care of yourself during treatment and educating on the toxic environment we all live in are just a few of our present goals.
